THE ROLE
The successful candidate will work on mechanical piping systems and will be responsible for servicing diesel engine driven fire pumps and engines. Our head office is based in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath and our Service Technician teams attend sites across Ireland and Europe. There is a pay scale in place for this position which includes payment for travel to and from work in a Company Vehicle.
Reporting to: Service Manager
Hours: 32hrs Site and 7hrs Travel per week.
Days: Monday to Friday
QUALIFICATIONS
- Driver’s Licence (required)
- 1 Year Mechanical Experience (preferred)
- 1 Year Electrical Experience (preferred)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintenance and inspection of pump units and alarm valve arrangements onsite.
- Fault finding and installation of control wiring systems and panels.
- Stripping and overhauling of pumps and alarm valves.
- Fault finding and installation of pumps, engines, and motors.
- Filling out of report for each visit to site on iPad.
- Compiling detailed work orders for items requiring repair onsite.
- Installation fitting and manufacturing of small piping systems.
