Role Description
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Service Technician with Mechanical Background to join our Mullingar-based Service Team. This is a full-time, on-site and field-based role covering nationwide service work, with a strong focus on Dublin and surrounding regions. The Mullingar base is used for parts collection, planning, reporting, and support. This role involved inspections, testing, fault diagnosis, and maintenance of fire protection systems and associated control systems across customer sites nationwide mainly in Leinster.
You will be required to travel daily and operate from our Mullingar base for parts collection, planning, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical servicing and maintenance of fire protection systems
- Inspect pumps, valves, sprinkler systems, and associated equipment
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs
- Complete preventative maintenance programmes
- Support installation and commissioning teams when required
- Maintain accurate service records and reports
- Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards
- Use Mullingar base for parts, planning, and reporting
Qualifications & Experience
- Mechanical qualification or trade background (essential)
- Experience in mechanical maintenance or service work
- Strong fault-finding and repair skills
- Ability to work independently on site
- Understanding of mechanical systems and hydraulics advantageous
- IT skills for reporting systems
- Full clean driving licence required

- Manage and lead Project Engineers overseeing multiple projects from design to commissioning and collaborating and supporting the Commercial, Design and Service teams.
- Development and updating of Design SOP’s, Manuals, Procedures for your Department in line with legislative, regulatory, Company and Client requirements.
- Schedule and plan for upcoming works and provide updates to relevant Departments to ensure project resources are available when required.
- Ensure all projects are tracked, monitored, planned and progress updated in relevant project management schedules and systems.
- Review and analyse reports in Structures and all project data is up to date for accurate invoicing and billing.
- Develop and implement standard designs and project tools used to build efficiencies in project execution.
- Review all drawings as per code - provide succession development training of staff to upskill their abilities to do same.
- Oversee the execution of engineering projects, including managing resources and ensuring project deliverables are met

- Produce REVIT drawings for Electrical and Mechanical installation work.
- Ensure that standards are adhered to and that drawings produced are of the highest quality, all in accordance with Q.A. procedures.
- Creating Hydraulic Calculations using industry-approved software.
- Planning project programs/scheduling.
- Preparing submittals.
- Work closely with the Operations and Installation teams to communicate, problem solve and update drawings for all coordination and design issues.
