THE ROLE: Our head office is based in Salford, Manchester, however our installation crews attend sites across the UK, the UK and Europe. You will commence your position in the Manchester workshop for a training period (duration dependant on experience) and then will work on sites to carry out mechanical installation tasks – installing pipework, fittings etc. Travel allowance to site is provided by the company. There is a Pay Scale in place for this position which includes payment for travel to and from work in a company vehicle. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Champion Health and Safety: lead and drive safe work practices onsite
• Coordinate onsite resources including labour, materials and sub-contractors
• Manage a team of operatives to meet all project requirements and deadlines
• Ensure quality workmanship: drive quality standards in line with SOPs and work practices
• Ensure Installation documentation is completed correctly: Responsible for submitting progress drawings, testing records, site audits, RAMS, access and site permits

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent safety practices and must be comfortable working at heights.
• Must be willing to learn and flexible to stay away depending on site location.
• Flexible regarding working hours and available for overtime when needed.
• A relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience
• Hold a valid CSCS and Manual Handling Ticket
• Good reporting skills
• Full clean Driving License

You will assist the design team in creating accurate 2D and 3D drawings for Electrical and Mechanical installation work, ensuring that all drawings adhere to the highest quality standards and procedures. You will also assist in updating and revising drawings based on feedback from the Operations and Installation teams. This role involves maintaining project documentation and supporting the team in meeting project deadlines and client expectations. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design fire protection sprinkler systems for high-profile clients.
• Produce REVIT drawings for Electrical and Mechanical installation work.
• Ensure that standards are adhered to and that drawings produced are of the highest quality, all in accordance with Q.A. procedures.
• Creating Hydraulic Calculations using industry-approved software.
• Planning project programs/scheduling.
• Preparing submittals.
• Work closely with the Operations and Installation teams to communicate, problem solve and update drawings for all coordination and design issues.

• Maintenance and inspection of pump units and alarm valve arrangements onsite.
• Fault finding and installation of control wiring systems and panels.
• Stripping and overhauling of pumps and alarm valves.
• Fault finding and installation of pumps, engines, and motors.
• Filling out a report after each site visit on a Company iPad.
• Compiling detailed work orders for items requiring repair onsite.

• Full Drivers Licence for a minimum of 12 months

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific engineering projects. You will work closely with other Project Engineers, Technical Design Leads, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.   THE ROLE

• Work with management to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Oversee the execution of engineering projects, including managing resources and ensuring project deliverables are met.
• Ensure that all project activities comply with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure project goals are met.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders, including clients, project team members, and senior management.
• Manage project risks and issues, identifying and addressing potential problems before they impact project delivery.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Participate in project design reviews and provide input on technical issues as needed.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior project engineers as needed.

Reporting to: UK Contracts Manager Hours: 37 hrs per week. Days: Monday – Friday. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• At least two years of experience in project engineering or related field
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred
• Minimum 2-year Fire and Sprinkler experience
• Strong Technical Skills and experience in Fire Protection Systems design and Installation
• Excellent Project Management skills, including the ability to plan, organise and manage resources to achieve project goals.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, project team members, and senior Management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome project challenges.
• Experience with Project Management software such as MS Project or similar tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
