Health & Safety Policy Statement
The Writech Group Safety Management System has been documented to comply with the requirements the Safe T Cert. It also incorporates the company Safety Statement which is a requirement under the Health, Safety and Welfare at Work Act 2005. It is policy of Writech to comply with the relevant Safety Health & Welfare at Work Legislation as a minimum, particularly the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005; the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007& 2012, (SI 299 of 2007 & SI 445 of 2012), the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013. Writech is committed to driving a Continual Improvement Process ensuring the company continues to develop and improve where required its health and safety management system and to the identification and adherence to new legislation and Construction Industry best Health & Safety Practises.
The scope of the OHS system applies to all aspects of the business which can be separated into four business areas. The aim of the Writech Group is to maintain a Safety Management System to eliminate or minimise risks to employees and third parties who may be exposed to risks associated with the company’s activities. This document outlines the policy and management approach to Occupational Health and Safety. This document refers specifically to the work carried out by, and the hazards encountered in all business areas.
The company will, so far as reasonably practicable whilst conducting our work activities in such a manner as to ensure the safety, health and welfare at work of our employees and to prevent any improper conduct likely to put the safety, health or welfare of our employees and others at risk Writech will provide such information, training and supervision, needed for this purpose.
Writech has the maintenance of safety and health in the workplace as one of its declared objectives. It is resolved that all the necessary measures shall be taken as far as is reasonably practicable to secure the safety, health and welfare of all its employees in any workplace and to protect persons other than employees against the risk to their normal safety, health and welfare which may arise from work activities at the company premises.
It is the duty of every person employed or contracted by Writech to co-operate fully with management in carrying out duties necessary to achieve and maintain safe and healthy working conditions.
As Managing Director’s ultimate responsibility for health and safety lies with us and we will ensure that it is given priority at all times.
