Writech is an internationally recognized leader in Fire Protection Systems, and we are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific engineering projects. You will work closely with other Project Engineers, Technical Design Leads, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget. This Role is a fixed term contract based in Frankfurt Germany for 12 Months initially with potential scope for extension.
Responsibilities:
- Work with management to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Oversee the execution of engineering projects, including managing resources and ensuring project deliverables are met
- Ensure that all project activities comply with company policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure project goals are met
- At least two years of experience in project engineering or related field
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years Fire and Sprinkler experience
- German work permit
- German Tax ID
Our Head Office is based in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath however our installation crews work on sites across Ireland including Cork and wider Europe. The Installation Foreperson will work on various sites to carry out mechanical installation tasks – installing pipework, fittings, etc. There is a Pay Scale in place for this position which includes payment for travel to and from work in a Company vehicle.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Champion Health and Safety: Lead and drive safe work practices onsite.
- Coordinate onsite resources including labour, materials, and subcontractors.
- Manage a team of Installation Operatives to meet all project requirements and deadlines.
- Drive quality standards in line with SOP’s and work practices.
- Ensure Installation documentation is completed correctly: Responsible for submitting progress drawings, testing records, site audits, RAMS, access, and site permits.
- Reduce wastage and provide performance feedback.
- Supervise works and attendance of a team of Installation Operatives and subcontractors, providing guidance and training regarding job procedures, work standards and equipment use.
- Responsible for reporting incidents, performance management and time and attendance.
- Ad hoc tasks as requested by Management.
- 5+ years’ experience in a Construction environment
- 2+years’ experience installing Fire Protection Systems
- Proven record of coordinating and managing site projects
- Safe Pass Card & Manual Handling Certificate (Theory & Practical Assessment) issued by QQI Qualified Trainer
- Excellent safety practices and must be comfortable working at heights and confined spaces.
- Must be flexible and available for overtime and stay aways depending on site location.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant is responsible for the management of the financial and tax compliance processes across the business - PRSI, PAYE, RCT and VAT. The Financial Accountant must oversea the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes of the business ensuring payments are paid and received as per schedule and processes. This person must also coordinate and manage the month-end processes.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- ACA, ACCA, FCA or CPA Qualified.
- Strong Technical Accounting skillset.

- Effectively lead, and mentor a team of Finance personnel.
- Coordinate and oversee the monthly management accounts reporting process including the analysis of related items of the Balance Sheet and Income Statement, budgets and cashflow.
- Manage and improve key control processes to ensure their continued effectiveness in line with best practice. Ensure financial processes are appropriately documented and reviewed.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of all finance related data; ensuring compliance with GDPR.
- Coordinate internal and external audit processes.
- Ensure Company’s bespoke internal system is reconciled with finance system and discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
- Develop relationships with the Commercial, Service, Operations and Design teams to form a deep understanding of customer dynamics.
- Champion continuous improvement of finance processes and systems.
- Support the Financial Controller in the coordination and presentation of the Company’s overall financial forecasts, budgets and plans.
- Actively participate in other ad hoc projects as they arise by taking full ownership and running with such projects.
- Ensure all Finance standards are maintained in line with all legislative requirements, regulations and compliance - PRSI, PAYE, VAT and RCT.
- Conduct reconciliations, investigate any discrepancies and resolve any concerns in a timely manner.
- Create and manage monthly/weekly reports - Provide meaningful management information and analysis and recommendations in support of the business operations and to reduce costs.

THE ROLE:
Service Technician is based in the Service Department in JEM. It is a busy department responsible for servicing and maintenance, breakdowns and emergency calls therefore quick reactions and efficient working is essential. The role involves significant interaction with our servicing personnel, suppliers, customers and group companies. This position is demanding with a large cross section of responsibilities. You will be Servicing Firepumps in and around the Midlands, South Wales, Worcester, Bristol,Bath and the Swindon areas.
QUALIFICATIONS:
UK Driver’s Licence (Required)
1 Year Mechanical Experience (Preferred)
1 Year Electrical Experience (Preferred)
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
You must be fluent in English.
Excellent computer skills.
You must be methodical in all areas of your work.
Must be able to stay away from home Monday to Friday as required and work overseas ‘on shore’
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
Experience working as a mechanical and/or electrical contractor.
Experience of working on fire suppression equipment
Highly motivated and demonstrates a defined sense of urgency.
Able to work as an individual or as part of a team
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete the following ‘on site’ activities on firepumps and associated equipment.
Scheduled servicing
Fault investigation, diagnosis and rectification
Existing equipment isolation and removal from site & re-installation
New equipment installation and commissioning
Workshop stripping and overhauling of firepumps and associated activities
On time completion and submission of site reports, inspections questions and work orders.
Be available to participate in and out of hours on call rota.

THE ROLE
As a Revit Technician, you will work closely with our high-profile client base to produce detailed Revit drawings for fire protection sprinkler systems. You will assist the design team in creating accurate 2D and 3D drawings for Electrical and Mechanical installation work, ensuring that all drawings adhere to the highest quality standards and procedures. You will also assist in updating and revising drawings based on feedback from the Operations and Installation teams. This role involves maintaining project documentation and supporting the team in meeting project deadlines and client expectations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design fire protection sprinkler systems for high-profile clients.
- Produce REVIT drawings for Electrical and Mechanical installation work.
- Ensure that standards are adhered to and that drawings produced are of the highest quality, all in accordance with Q.A. procedures.
- Creating Hydraulic Calculations using industry-approved software.
- Planning project programs/scheduling.
- Preparing submittals.
- Work closely with the Operations and Installation teams to communicate, problem solve and update drawings for all coordination and design issues.
