THE ROLE Our head office is based in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath and our Installation teams attend sites across Ireland and Europe. You will work on sites with an experienced Foreperson and crew to carry out mechanical installation tasks – installing pipework, fittings etc. There is a pay scale in place for this position which includes payment for travel to and from work in a Company Vehicle. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assemble and install Fire Protection Sprinkler systems, pipework and fittings as per Company’s standard operating procedures and in-house training
  • Work as part of a team under the supervision of Installation Forepersons
  • Responsible for reporting any Health, Safety & Wellbeing related incidents to responsible persons
  • Complete assigned assembly and installation tasks within given timeframes
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
  • Excellent safety practices in a construction environment
  • Previous experience on construction sites
  • Safe Pass Card
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and confined spaces.
  • Must be flexible and available for overtime and stay aways depending on site location.
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage challenging workload
  • Flexible, adaptable, problem solving and can-do attitude to work

The Role: THE ROLE We are currently seeking a Service Technician to join our growing Service Team, to be based in the South of Ireland. This role will primarily support sites in Cork and the wider southern region, with flexibility required for nationwide travel and occasional overseas assignments to support Writech’s international operations. This is a hands-on role suited to individuals who are mechanically or electrically minded, with a strong focus on customer service, servicing, maintaining and fault-finding across mechanical piping systems, electrical control systems, and fire pump installations. Key Responsibilities · Maintenance and inspection of pump units and alarm valve arrangements onsite. · Fault finding and installation of control wiring systems and panels. · Stripping and overhauling of pumps and alarm valves. · Fault finding and installation of pumps, engines, and motors. · Filling out a report after each site visit on a Company iPad. · Compile detailed work orders and identify items requiring repair or follow-up works · Ensure all works are completed in compliance with relevant fire protection standards, health & safety requirements and company procedures · Participate in an on-call rota, including evening, weekend and emergency call-outs as required · Travel across the South of Ireland, with flexibility to travel nationwide and occasionally internationally to support overseas Writech sites Essential Criteria
  • Full clean driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months
  • Flexibility to work overtime, stay away from home when required, and participate in an on-call rota
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
