Job Title: Senior HR Business Partner

Position Overview:
The Senior HR Business Partner will play a crucial role in enhancing our HR functions, working closely with the Head of HR and HR/Payroll team. Responsibilities include recruitment and onboarding, employee engagement, learning & development, career development, pay and benefits, employee relations, industrial relations, employment law and compliance, reporting, and strategic HR management.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement the HR Strategy in line with Company Values, Strategy & Operational goals.
  • Lead and manage HR Operations, ensuring compliance with Irish employment law regulations and standards.
  • Develop and update HR, Recruitment, and Payroll policies & procedures in line with legislative requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of all employee-related data, complying with GDPR.
  • Create and manage monthly/weekly reports, providing meaningful analysis and recommendations.
  • Coach, mentor, and assist managers and employees with HR functions.
  • Develop an annual Workforce Plan, overseeing the recruitment and selection process.
  • Develop and implement a reward and recognition strategy for employees.
  • Build effective relationships with colleges and agencies specialising in Engineering, Construction, Mechanical, and Electrical Contractors.
  • Analyse training needs, plan and deliver HR, Recruitment, and Payroll training.
  • Support Senior Management Team on building people capability and managing people risk.
  • Deliver internal and external communications to stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver Writech’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Strategy.
  • Design a process for benchmarking and measuring employee engagement.
  • Promote and maintain a positive HSEQ culture and safe work environment.
  • Proactively engage in quality initiatives, ensuring best practice standards are maintained.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, timely, and legible, keeping records up to date.

Essential Qualifications/Skills:

  • Degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience as HR Business Partner/HR Generalist.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in performance management and employment law.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ coordinating employee engagement and CSR initiatives.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage a challenging workload.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and positive attitude.
  • Demonstrated skills in Performance Management, Employee/Industrial Relations, and Pay & Benefits.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Irish and UK Employment Law.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and reliability.

Desirable Qualifications/Skills:

  • CIPD Qualified.
  • Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma, or Master’s level courses in HR/Industrial Relations.
  • Experience working with Mechanical and Electrical contractors.
  • Train the Trainer or similar qualification.
  • Ergonomics DSE Certified.
  • First Aid and Fire Warden Certified.

Reporting to: Head of HR
Hours: 37 hrs per week
Days: 9am-5.30pm Monday – Thursday, 9am-5pm – Fridays
