Position Overview:
The Junior Estimator will play a crucial role in preparing Tender Submissions and monitoring project pricing. This position is ideally suited for a recent graduate or someone with experience in Fire Protection Project Engineering looking for a change of role. The role will be based in our Manchester office.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparing Tenders for jobs.
  • Prepare reports on job costings.
  • Compile Tender files.
  • Review and interpretation of tender documents, specifications, contracts & other related materials.
  • Assessing labour costs.
  • Effective liaison, support, and assistance between the tender process department, senior management, and the rest of the organization.
  • Support the compilation of Quality Tender Submissions.
  • Monitor the tender submission process for accuracy, formatting, completeness, consistency, and compliance.
  • Monitor the overall performance of the tender process to obtain maximum efficiency, quality, service, and profitability for the organization.
  • Participate in pre-, mid- & post-tender meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage data related to the tendering process.
  • Assist in streamlining tender processes.

Essential Qualifications/Skills:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
  • Alternatively, Fire Protection Project Engineer looking for a change of role.
  • LPCB qualifications or similar/experience of systems.
  • Experience of AutoCAD and BIM systems.
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
  • Fire Protection or MEP Experience.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK

Reporting to: Commercial Director
Hours: 37 hrs per week
Days: Monday to Thursday: 9am-5.30pm, Friday: 9am-5pm
