Job Title: Installation Operative

Location: Based from Mullingar, Co. Westmeath however our you will be required to work on sites across the Ireland and Europe.

Position Overview: Our installation crews attend sites across Ireland and Europe. You will work on sites with an experienced Forepersons and crew to carry out mechanical installation tasks – installing pipework, fittings etc. Travel allowance and Company vehicles are provided by the Company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team under the supervision of the Installation Foreman,
  • Be open to learning and continual improvement
  • Assembling and installing pipework and fittings as per company’s standard operating procedures and in-house training
  • Attend industry/health & safety training courses as required

Essential Qualifications / Skills:

  • Excellent safety practices in a construction environment
  • Previous experience on construction sites
  • Safe Pass Card & Manual Handling Certificate (Theory & Practical Assessment) issued by QQI Qualified Trainer
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and confined spaces.
  • Must be flexible and available for overtime and stay aways depending on site location.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven record of building and sustaining effective and professional working relationships
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage challenging workload
  • Flexible, adaptable, problem solving and can-do attitude to work
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and reliability skills
  • Positive, ambitious and enthusiastic with the ability to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environment.

Desired Qualifications / Skills:

  • Relevant trade qualification an advantage
  • Full Drivers Licence for a minimum of 12months
  • Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP)
  • Abrasive Wheel Training
  • CSCS Slinger and Signaller (Banksman)
  • CSCS Telescopic Handler Operation (Teleporter)
  • CSCS Mobile Scaffold Access Tower
  • Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
  • Forklift Ticket.

Reporting to: Site Supervisor
Hours: 42.5 hrs per week
Days: Monday – Friday (Overtime and Saturday work as required)
