Dream Big Programme

The Dreambig (D-Digitalisation, R-Robotics, E-Engineering, A- Automation, M-Manufacturing) programme took place on 8th-12th May.

27 students, (15 girls and 12 boys) from 12 schools visited 5 leading manufacturing companies in the Midlands as part of this programme. Decotek Automotive, Robotics and Drives, TEG Ireland, Mergon Group and Writech Group (WTech Fire) hosted the students and were supported by staff from Technology University of the Shannon, Athlone Campus , Offaly County Council VEX Robotics, The Rediscovery Centre with hands on activities each afternoon. Over 65 people, including parents, teachers, industry and educational providers AMTCE – Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre of Excellence, Longford and Westmeath Education and Training Board (LWETB) & Technological University of the Shannon joined our closing ceremony in Irish Manufacturing Research where they also had the chance to tour of this facility.
