Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to support our Finance Manager. The role entails a variety of accounting tasks including raising invoices, issuing payment claims to customers, processing certificates, credit control, and daily communication monitoring. Additionally, responsibilities include updating databases, generating debtors reports, Intrasat & VIES Revenue reporting, department reconciliation, and maintaining procedural documentation (SOP’s). Attending weekly finance meetings is also part of the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Raising invoices and issuing payment claims to customers.
  • Processing certificates and managing credit control.
  • Monitoring daily communication and addressing queries.
  • Updating databases with relevant financial information.
  • Generating debtors reports and handling Intrasat & VIES Revenue reporting.
  • Reconciling accounts and maintaining procedural documentation (SOP’s).
  • Attending weekly finance meetings.

Essential Qualifications / Skills:

  • Excellent accounting and strong numerical skills.
  • Experience and thorough working knowledge of all elements of MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Excel formulas.
  • Experience and thorough working knowledge of Sage 50.
  • Experience in accounts reconciliations.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent communication skills and team player.
  • Ability to organise, prioritise, and multitask effectively.

Desired Qualifications / Skills:

  • ATI Diploma or equivalent
