Galvanised Steel Liquistore
The tank shell is of a cylindrical nature constructed from modular panels bolted together (and is supplied generally as per drawing no. FH2949). For shell thickness up to 4.2mm thick, steel strip conforming to BS2989 Grade Z35 is used. This strip is pre-galvanised to a G600 heavy-duty spangle finish giving a coating weight of 300g/m² each side of the panel. For shell thickness greater than 4.2mm thick, steel plate conforming to BS EN 10025 Fe 430A is used. This plate is hot dip galvanised to BS729. The panels are bolted together using spun galvanised bolts conforming to either BS4190 Grade 8.8 or BS3692 Grade 4.6. Pre-rolled stiffening angles are fitted to the top and bottom of the tank shell.
The Tritainer is manufactured from steel sheets, pre-galvanised to BS 2989. It is constructed of site-bolted triangular steel panels 500 x 500 x 707mm. Internally, the tank is fitted with a 0.75mm or 1.00mm thick butyl rubber liner. Tank structural sections such as angles, stiffeners, bearers and ties are manufactured from BS EN 10025 Fe430A grade steel and galvanised after fabrication to BS 729.
Aluminium Liquistore
The tank is of a cylindrical, bolted nature constructed of EN 485-2 Type EN AW 5083-H22 aluminium alloy. There are aluminium angle strengthening hoops of 6082-T4 at the top and bottom of the tank.
The tank is supplied with an aluminium low-profile sectional cover complete with an aluminium raised ball valve housing and access way. In addition, the tank is fitted with an open-top butyl membrane bag of hot vulcanised construction utilising 0.75mm or 1.00mm thick butyl rubber (1.5mm thick is used for sump liners). The assembled tank is clamped down utilising anchor bolts fixed into the tank base.
All tanks are normally supplied complete with external aluminium hooped access ladders (commencing approximately 2.4m from tank base), aluminium handrailing around access platforms, calibrated contents gauges, 25mm warning overflows, 80mm drain valves and all other tank connections as required.
